All COVID-19 health safety protocols will be followed including a mask requirement. All student campers, camp sponsors and camp assistants will all be required to be properly masked. Indoor camps will operate on 85% capacity maximum. That means that there will be a limited number of spots open this year. All camp registrations will take place online and are on a first come, first serve basis. Youth camps and experiences will operate the same as the school day and camps will not shut down for “48-hours” or shut down entirely due to COVID unless advised otherwise by the St. Joseph County Department of Health. Click here for a full listing of the COVID safety protocols that will be in place.

Kids Club During the School Year

The Kids Club program provides school-based before and after school childcare for Penn-Harris-Madison students in grades K-5. Parent fees support the program. A parent or authorized adult must provide transportation to the program in the morning and a parent or authorized adult can pick the child up any time during afternoon or all-day care.

Kids Club is a happy, safe, fun before and after school environment where students can choose from a variety of recreational, social and enrichment activities. The program is offered before school, operating from 6:30 a.m. until the start of classes, and again after school, operating from the time of school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. All students and staff are required to wear a mask at Kids Club. Click here to for the latest info on P-H-M’s COVID-19 health safety protocols.

Contact the site coordinator at the school your child attends during Kids Club hours. The site coordinator will give you and your child a tour and explain the program.  You will receive a packet of materials including emergency information forms and a parent handbook.  All forms must be completed and returned, along with the non-refundable registration fee per child. A payment for the first two weeks of care is due on the day that your child begins the program.

Early registration is encouraged for all students who are planning to participate in the program and spring registration for the following year allows time to hire staff, order materials and prepare the site. Registrations are accepted year-round however, and students can join Kids Club at any time, space permitting.

Children who join Kids Club after the start of the school year may begin participating no sooner than two days after their registration has been submitted. For example, if a parent completes registration on Monday, the child may start attending Kids Club on Wednesday. Enforcing this policy is one way we maintain children's safety and help to ensure a great start!

Kids Club offers limited financial assistance to families that qualify for the free or reduced school lunch program. For more information, please speak with the site coordinator at your child’s school. Each family is responsible for the non-refundable $25 registration fee per child.

A ten percent discount is available to parents paying three times a year in advance during the school year and summer break.

The first payment is due on the first day of school, the second payment is due on the first day of school after the winter break and the third payment is due the first day of summer Kids Club.  A schedule of school days is included in the packet of forms.

A Kids Club Site Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of each site and childcare assistants work directly with the children. The goal is to have approximately one adult for every 15 children.
